Summary

  • Branch: codex/windows-service-real-host-update-e2e
  • Add the update-deployment Windows-host E2E for Squid.DeployWindowsService.
  • The new test deploys package v1, verifies the marker reports 1.0.0, then deploys package v2 to the same service name.
  • The v2 path asserts the service count stays 1, display name is reconfigured, service is running, version.txt is replaced with 2.0.0, and the marker changes to 2.0.0.
  • Reuse the same DeployServiceTestContext/WindowsServiceFixture cleanup path and WindowsServiceFixture.IsAvailable guard, so OpenSpec tasks 7.4 and 7.5 are marked complete locally.
  • OpenSpec progress is now 32/37; remaining tasks are verification items 8.1-8.5.

  • Focused WindowsTentacle E2E: env DOTNET_ROLL_FORWARD=Major dotnet test tests/Squid.WindowsTentacleE2ETests/Squid.WindowsTentacleE2ETests.csproj --filter FullyQualifiedName~WindowsServiceDeployRealHostE2ETests --no-restore --verbosity minimal
  • Result: 2 passed, 0 failed. Current macOS run validates compile + non-Windows guard path.
